Today has been BUSY. The outdoor static display aircraft are in need of a sprucing up. We are starting with the F-15 and a new coat of “air superiority gray”. We would like to thank our volunteers for giving their time today. We could not have accomplished this task without you!

The tale of two M1 Garand clips.

The weathered one was picked up by Ted S. In the mid-1950s in the Zambales Mountains near Clark AFB, Philippines. He says: “….we were clearing the mountain peak to install a microwave reflector for the line of sight signal to clear the mountain peak. The mountain peak was covered with dense trees that had to be removed. The Zambales Mountain Range was also where the Japanese Army made their last stand when the U.S. captured Clark AFB. The entire area was littered with munitions that had to be removed…”

The second one is an original M1 clip with modern bullets in it.

We would like to thank Ted for bringing this and more to donate to the museum and for telling us his story.

Update: looks like we have enough volunteers to paint the F-15 next week! Thank you all!

Okay Friends, we need your help!

We are looking for volunteers for May 28, 2026! We need 3 people able and willing to help us paint the F-15 Eagle on that day. It’ll start in the morning and likely take most of the day. Of course, we will provide all paint supplies and lunch should we end up painting through the lunch hour.

This next request is very specific: we are also looking for anyone who used to be an F-106 maintainer. We have an actuator on ours that stopped working and we need your help!

Please, send us a direct message if you’re interested in either of these two volunteer opportunities! Thank you! 😊
