Did you know one of Thomas Edison's very first movie stars was Ohio's own Annie Oakley?

In our latest article, researcher Dillon explores the Buckeyes who helped build the movies from the ground up, starting inside Edison's Black Maria, the world's first film studio. From "Little Sure Shot" herself to Charles Ogle, the Steubenville actor who became the first person ever to play Frankenstein's Monster on screen, this story reveals how Ohio shaped early cinema long before Hollywood existed.

If you love movies, untold Ohio history, or a great behind-the-scenes story, this one's a must-read.

In one of our favorite articles, we step aside and let his cousin Marietta Wadsworth do the talking. She was the last person to ever live in the Edison Birthplace, and in her own words from a 1938 account she shares the candid, funny, and deeply human moments you won't find in a textbook.

This is Edison as family remembered him. Find the full story in the comments! 📖
