⌨️ Monday Memories ⌨️

Before laptops, tablets, and smartphones... there were typewriters.

This week's Monday Memory features three classic Royal typewriters, each with its own story to tell. Long before the click of a keyboard or the convenience of spellcheck, these machines helped people write letters, school papers, business documents, and even novels—one keystroke at a time.

Can you remember the sound of the keys clicking, the "ding!" at the end of each line, and sliding the carriage back to begin again? For many, those sounds bring back memories of school assignments, office work, and handwritten correspondence transformed into neatly typed pages.

These Royal typewriters are just a small glimpse into the everyday tools that shaped generations. We invite you to stop by the museum and take a closer look—not only at these fascinating machines, but at the many other artifacts that tell the story of our community and the people who lived here.

💙 Tell us in the comments: Did you ever learn to type on a typewriter? What was the first thing you remember typing?

We'd love to hear your memories!
