AZMNH will be at the Apache Junction library today from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, presenting a free class for teens ages 13-18 on forensic anthropology. Get hands-on with bone replicas, find clues, and see if you can figure out the cause of death. This is one of the most exciting and beloved MEAD classes. It is with a mix of joy and sadness that we say goodbye to Dr. Ismael Sanches-Morales, our Curator of Anthropology. Dr. Ismael will be moving to Utah, where he will work as the Director of the University of Utah Archaeological Center and an assistant professor at the University of Utah. We're sad to see him go, but it's part of our DNA here at AZMNHN to lift the next generation of museum professionals, and we are proud when they move on to further their careers.
