The Guest Experience and Operations Manager (Office Supervisor) is a member of the idea Museum’s senior leadership team and provides strategic and operational leadership for the Museum’s daily operations and visitor experience. The position oversees front desk and admissions operations, membership services, museum floor operations, point-of-sale systems and event setup, operational supplies and inventory, and a team of approximately 20 employees, including four full-time staff. The Director also provides oversight for broader operational support functions managed or coordinated by the team, including facility service requests, custodial, vehicle needs, financial processes, and coordination with appropriate City departments, while ensuring the Museum has the staffing, systems, processes, and resources needed to operate effectively and provide a consistent, high-quality guest experience. Salary range is $65,226-$92,983

You may notice that many of the animals on display at AZMNH are presented two ways: skin on and skin off. Take Nasutoceratops, for example. You will find the skin-on version on Dinosaur Mountain and the skin-off version in our 75 Million BC exhibit. Displaying a dinosaur with skin requires a mix of science and art. Do you think dinosaurs were more or less colorful than the Dinosaur Mountain skin-on Nasutoceratops?

Mosasaurs were lizards that share a common ancestor with modern lizards such as the Gila monster and monitor lizards. These Cretaceous animals were predators with an extra jaw hinge, allowing them to open wide and catch their prey.

Today is celebrated worldwide as Indigenous Peoples' Day. At AZMNH, we continue to be enriched through partnership and collaboration with our O'odham and Piipaash neighbors. Showing respect for our neighbors and finding joy in the things they find joy in brings us closer as a community. In my culture, we say, 'He waka eke noa.' This is similar to the saying, 'We are all in the same boat,' and is a reminder that we share a present and a future, strengthened by caring for one another, learning from one another, and honoring what each of us brings to our community.
