Students spent two Saturdays exploring the ancient art of sandcasting with visiting artists David & Andrea Peterson, learning how to transform simple materials into one-of-a-kind jewelry and small-scale sculptures.

Tweens & teens ages 11+ are invited to explore the bold world of street-style art in this special 2-day Summer Intensive with Maui artist Cara Griffin.

Students will explore:
• Graffiti-inspired lettering & typography
• Perspective drawing techniques
• Acrylic paint & paint markers
• Mixed-media collage layering
• Creating artwork that reflects their own unique style

Explore the ancient process of sandcasting with returning Visiting Artists David & Andrea Peterson in this Jewelry Studio favorite.

Over two Saturdays, students will learn how to create jewelry and small-scale sculpture using a fast, low-tech casting method that can be adapted for small studio or home-based practice.
