Finishing up a 26 inches wide curly koa platter. Tom Wirsing inspired. The first tool is a 5/8 bottom bowl gouge by Doug Thompson. The other one is a Thompson 1/2 inch V bowl gouge with a 40 /40 grind

Working on a 26 inches wide curly Koa platter. My Vermec tool rest was perfect for this. The 5/8 Thompson bottom bowl gouge made a challenging job much easier.
