This show will explore perspective and point of view (“POV", have you heard the term?) in Japanese woodblock prints. Consider how our perspective affects how we see and interpret our world.

Prints as Portals runs from March 6th through May 16th.

We are hopeful for a demonstration/ talk day, likely a Saturday afternoon, by Matt and Taylor sometime in early May. Stay tuned.

Join us this Friday for a reception for Ge**er and Gorman!

Featuring paintings by Jean Ge**er (of Thetford Ctr.) and Greg Gorman (of Lyme Ctr.), this show is inspired by Jean's multi-paneled painting Evening (shown below), and includes recent paintings by Greg which explore his interest in addressing concerns about world events through art.

Our Holiday show exhibit features re-arrangements of the gallery and we are seeking to display this pottery in engaging ways. John Quimby, Amanda Ann Palmer, Roger Noble, Kira Campbell, we also have ceramics by new-in-the-last-year potters Jenny Sparks and Tony Luckino and, as of two weeks ago, work by Karin Rothwell.

This is alongside woodenware by Tim Taylor and David Allen who join long-time woodworkers Jim Gold, Glen Latal, and Roger Thrall in sharing work in the gallery.

In the prints and paintings arena there are also developments.

The holiday show includes new pastels by Ann Wickham, new paper collages by Barbara Newton, several treasured watercolors treasures from this past fall's watercolor show.

Last chance for those last minute holiday gift shoppers, stop by this weekend and you will still have time to wrap!

Our Holiday show exhibit features new ceramics, and we are seeking to display this pottery in engaging ways. Alongside work by our long-time artists John Quimby and Amanda Ann Palmer, and work of our new-in-the-last-few-years potters Roger Noble and Kira Campbell, we have ceramics by new-in-the-last-year potters Jenny Sparks and Tony Luckino and, new as of two weeks ago, work by Karin Rothwell.

We are also displaying woodenware that is new this year by Tim Taylor and David Allen. Tim and David's work joins the work of long-time woodworkers Jim Gold, Glen Latal, and Roger Thrall.

The Holiday show introduces new jewelry cases for work by Lynn Adams, Kate and Fred Pearce, Kim Meredith, and Jenny Sparks, and perhaps most significantly, an entirely different kind of home for our book offerings (all Lyme and Thetford authors). Brand new to the gallery are two publications David Van Wie: Storied Waters, 35 Fabled Fly-fishing destinations and the writers and Artists who made them Famous, and The Confluence, A Collection of Essays, Art & Tall Tales about Fly-fishing & Friendship.

The holiday show includes new pastels by Ann Wickham, new paper collages by Barbara Newton, several treasured watercolors treasures from this past fall's watercolor show, some select 19th century Japanese prints by U. Kunisada, choice color woodblock prints by Matt Brown (impressions that Matt thinks are especially fine).

Come check out everything our Holiday Show has to offer this year during our open hours!
