In the days before hardware stores, every town relied on its blacksmith to keep things running. From horseshoes and tools to hinges and nails, the blacksmith shop was where raw iron was transformed into the everyday items a growing community depended on.

Step inside the Blacksmith Shop at Historic White Pine Village and see the forge, anvil, and tools that once powered this essential trade. From the heat of the fire to the skill of the craftsman, this exhibit offers a look at the hard work behind every hammered piece of iron.

On Saturday, September 26, we're gathering at the historic Stearns Hotel Ballroom to celebrate 50 Years of Historic White Pine Village, now the largest living history museum on the west side of Michigan.

Expect great food, Mason County trivia, live and silent auctions, historical costumes, games, music, and dancing. You don't have to be a history buff to have a blast!

Tickets are $75 and include dinner plus an entry into our Mystery Cultural Attraction Door Prize drawing.

Step inside the Lumber Camp Buildings at Historic White Pine Village and discover what daily life looked like for the men who worked in Michigan's forests. From the tools of the trade to the close quarters they called home, this exhibit tells the story of the industry that built Mason County.

For 50 years, Historic White Pine Village has grown into the largest living history museum on the west side of Michigan, preserving historic buildings, collections, and stories that might otherwise be lost.

Every ticket to our Annual Gala on Saturday, September 26, at the Stearns Hotel Ballroom directly supports the Village's preservation, exhibits, and educational programming, so that future generations can keep walking through its history.

Join us for an evening of dinner, trivia, auctions, costumes, and dancing, all in support of the Village we love.
