The Muhammad Ali Center gathered leaders locally and from around the world for today's Leading in Crisis convening. Our partnership with the American University of Sharjah welcomed in Chancellor Tod Laursen for a discussion on leading with compassion and the endurance of Muhammad Ali's legacy in today's world.

Today's event highlighted new insights into compassion internationally as we prepare for the global launch of the Muhammad Ali Index in 2027.

Our hearts are profoundly saddened by the loss of Dolly Parton, one of our nation’s brightest lights and one of the world’s most beloved voices.

Dolly’s extraordinary life was defined not only by her remarkable music and talent, but by her boundless kindness, compassion, generosity, and faith in the dignity and potential of every person. She used her remarkable platform to lift up those in need; advocating for equality, alleviating poverty, providing disaster relief, and opening doors to opportunity through transformative initiatives like Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Her greatest legacy may be the countless lives she touched, encouraged, and changed simply by choosing to care. She reminded us that compassion can be powerful, generosity can be transformative, and one person truly can make the world a better place.

Dolly will be deeply missed, but the light she shared with the world will continue to shine through the people she inspired and the lives she changed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and the millions of fans who loved her. We are grateful for her extraordinary life and enduring legacy.

We will always love you, Dolly. May you rest in peace.

Announcing our 2026 Muhammad Ali Humanitarian Awardees!

Colin Kaepernick is this year's Humanitarian of the Year recipient, chosen for his courage to stand against racial injustice and empowering youth through education and systems change through the Know Your Rights Camp.

Steve Trager, CEO of Republic Bank, and Amy Trager will receive the Kentucky Humanitarian Award for their dedication to improving opportunities and strengthening the community of Louisville through many philanthropic efforts.

These seasoned awardees join six young international humanitarians who embody one of Muhammad Ali's Six Core Principles.
