Frogtown First Fridays Pride Night is June 5th! 5pm-10pm.

Join us for an evening of art, music and joyful connection as we celebrate and uplift our LGBTQ+ community.

Explore 19 venues along the LA River in Frogtown, featuring art exhibits by local artists, music, hands-on workshops and free or low-cost creative activities. Enjoy special discounts, giveaways, arts & crafts and community resource booths along the way.

Come out to support and celebrate the many LGBTQ+ artists, vendors and small businesses who help make our community vibrant, creative and beautifully diverse.

Walk on over, ride your bike, bring the dogs, the kids and grandma! Just leave the car at home. Please consider using ride share services when coming to Frogtown. If you absolutely must drive, we have parking at located at 1767 Blake Ave LA 90039

Meet the third of our four new board members; Melissa Valencia. Originally from a small Northern California town called Hollister, she has lived in the Elysian Valley neighborhood since 2012, and has spent over over 20 years in Los Angeles.

Melissa received her degree in Economics from San Diego state College. She has worked for Shepard Fairey and OBEY clothing for about 22 years.

In her spare time, she does a lot volunteer work; organizing events for Covenant House in Hollywood, gathering large in-kind donations for Youth Emerging Stronger, My Friends Place, Watts of Power, Do Good LA and Alexandria House. She regularly volunteers for the LA River clean ups with FOLAR and LA Water Keeper.

Upon release, many individuals face immediate material needs. This effort aims to provide essential items that promote health, dignity and stability during this transition.

We’re collecting:
Clothing (gently used or new) washed within last 2 weeks
Baby essentials
Hygiene items
New toys, backpacks and school supplies

Draped Figure Painting & Drawing Session

June 13, 2026 - 3:00 - 6:00 pm at The Blake Lofts - Community Room

Join Frogtown Arts at the Blake Lofts for a relaxed, inspiring draped figure drawing and painting session. Centered on a live model styled in fabric, this uninstructed drawing and painting session invites you to explore the human form through line, texture, light and shadow.

Designed for artists of all levels, one long pose for an in depth drawing and painting session. It’s a chance to sharpen your eye, loosen your hand and spend a few hours fully immersed in the creative process.

Bring your preferred materials and settle into a welcoming, artist-run space where curiosity and experimentation are encouraged.

Tickets:

$20 presale donation, $25 donation at the door, 18+

Donations are non-refundable. 30 spots available.
