 The sculpture presents noop returning to the beach to remember how happy the ocean once made him. Summer afternoons used to last forever, but time sped up. The seasons changed. All that remains of those days is noop’s memory of who he used to be. But like a trickster from Greek mythology, Sun squirts down sunscreen from the sky, and for a moment noop remembers what it was like to let his worries melt away.

Always remember the endless summer.

The Berlin-based artist duo Coarse is internationally renowned for their sculptural works that oscillate between art, design, and narrative. Das in Berlin gegründete Künstlerduo Coarse – bestehend aus Mark Landwehr und Sven Waschk – ist international bekannt für seine skulpturalen Arbeiten, die zwischen Kunst, Design und Erzählung oszillieren.
