Cactus Gallery is a vibrant Latina owned and operated gallery. Since March 2005, our space has been an eclectic mix of contemporary art and folk art. Starting March 1, 2019, Cactus Gallery began hosting its wonderful exhibits online and in our private space. We continue to work on holding space for a world that is able to honor many views, many cultures and many perspectives. Our commitment to int

erconnectedness must stay in the forefront so we can continue to care for one another on the other side. We are planning our next move with love & care and value your friendship through this pandemic and through these changes to our business model. 🍦You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy ice cream, and well, that’s pretty much the same thing. Ice cream releases endorphins and dopamine into yer brain, so instant joy!

This little tlacuache with his human-like hands chose the biggest GRANADA JUGOSA all for itself. Gracias artist Miriam Martinez for capturing one of the visitors to your backyard on canvas.

PARTY! (Slugs Not Invited) - congrats artist friend Ulla Anobile and thank you CH for your continued support of the arts.

Every other petal on this lovely piece, starting from top center, is made of paper mache and painted with acrylics; the rest are embroidered and sequined fine wool-rayon felt, 11” tall, 13” wide.

Ulla’s paper mache/fiber work is inspired by such folk art forms as the mask, the doll, the totem and the altar. Her ideas come from dreams, mythology and folklore, as well as from childhood summers spent in the unspoiled Finnish countryside. Her work often emphasizes the spiritual aspect of nature. Ulla has been creating work for Cactus Gallery since 2010.

Growing up my mom would make pizza almost every Saturday, two pizzas usually because friends loved it too. It was an ‘easy’ meal and it was often little Sandrita’s job to layer the ham, black olives and LOTS of cheese on the pizza pie. I have continued the pizza life and make pizza once or twice a month here at the Casa Linda. Alfonso likes to barbecue so sometimes grilled chicken or shrimp make it to the pizza! YUM!!!

You know who else loves pizza? Pigeons, raccoons, and also cats! Here are three new works by artists Sarah Rose , Chrystal Dawn and P Λ T R I C K 🔴. These pie loving animals are part of our upcoming show, ‘Get Your Own…!’ which opens online tomorrow Saturday, June 20 at 12p PT at the link in bio.
