Last week, we had our Opening Reception for “Walking Through Utopia,” Wang Yeul’s second solo exhibition in LA!
In “Walking Through Utopia,” the Korean abstract landscape painter Wang Yeul draws from and ultimately interrogates East Asian philosophical and painterly traditions to redefine the concept of Utopia, not as a distant fantasy or an idealized state, but as a mode of perception.
The exhibition is on view until July 9th, so be sure to come by!

We appreciate the support for these artists and listening to each artists’ stories behind the artwork. It was inspiring to hear these stories and the process that went into creating these pieces.

Tomorrow is the opening for Reveal-Reveal! Join us for the Opening Reception tomorrow, June 6th from 2:30-5:30PM!
This exhibition lays down the gauntlet: Contemporary art is over and artists are asking what has been hidden and kept secret all those years during which prescribed ways of thinking, feeling, and interpreting were considered legitimate and acceptable. As the tide of this dominance is now quickly receding, new openings and possibilities are emerging from the sea floor of art: To reveal is not simply to expose what was hidden, but to establish new terms. Artists are now defining their own terms for what can be disclosed through which truth, intimacy, contradiction, and human experience may emerge.

Opening this week on Saturday, June 6th, 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙖𝙡-𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙖𝙡 is a provocative new exhibition that challenges the status quo of contemporary art, exploring what emerges when dominant aesthetic structures begin to recede. Moving beyond the "exhaustion" of current artistic modes, the show features a diverse group of artists across painting, sculpture, and mixed media who utilize acts of excavation and resistance to renegotiate the conditions of image-making.

Curated by .co of in collaboration with @ , Maria Jean and Catherine Ulrich from , they present a two-part exhibition from LA to Portland. Part I will be hosted at Shatto Gallery, and followed by Part II at after/time gallery in the center of downtown Portland, Oregon.
