Opening this week on Saturday, June 6th, 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙖𝙡-𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙖𝙡 is a provocative new exhibition that challenges the status quo of contemporary art, exploring what emerges when dominant aesthetic structures begin to recede. Moving beyond the "exhaustion" of current artistic modes, the show features a diverse group of artists across painting, sculpture, and mixed media who utilize acts of excavation and resistance to renegotiate the conditions of image-making.

Curated by .co of in collaboration with @ , Maria Jean and Catherine Ulrich from , they present a two-part exhibition from LA to Portland. Part I will be hosted at Shatto Gallery, and followed by Part II at after/time gallery in the center of downtown Portland, Oregon.

Shatto Gallery is pleased to present No Single Origin, the first solo exhibition with the gallery by Los Angeles–based Chinese-American multimedia artist Sijia Chen.
Through papercut collage paintings and sculptures, Chen constructs compositions from fragments of printed materials—immigration forms, photographs, menus, and other documents—drawn from both personal and public sources.
No Single Origin considers how identity, authorship, and meaning remain fluid, shared, and continuously evolving.
