We are the oldest historical preservation institution in Gregg County, Texas. Our offerings are as diverse as the individuals and corporations who make up our membership. Our name implies who we are, but it does not convey our commitment to innovative exhibits and programs on numerous subjects for audiences of all ages. Whether you're a history buff or a social butterfly there is always something interesting to get involved with at the Museum.

Parents! Help your kids discover the past this summer at the Gregg County Historical Museum. Our programs are designed to bring history to life through hands-on activities, museum adventures, and interactive learning that goes beyond the classroom.

Whether your child is entering the 1st grade or finishing up 7th, our camps provide a unique environment to explore storytelling, creative arts, and the fascinating history of how transportation shaped our nation and Gregg County.

What to Expect:
Hands-on Engagement: Activities ranging from painting and crafts to engineering challenges.
Interactive Discovery: Interactive games and museum-wide treasure hunts.
Memorable Experiences: Every camper leaves with new skills and a deeper connection to local history.

Spaces for our summer sessions are limited, so early registration is encouraged to ensure your child’s spot in these popular programs.
