🕰️ OVER 100 YEARS OF MARSH’S HISTORY!

What started with Wellington Marsh Sr. in Long Beach in 1921 eventually grew into one of the Peninsula’s most beloved and unusual landmarks. After curious items began finding their way onto the walls of Wellington’s business, Marsh’s Free Museum officially opened in 1935, and the collecting hasn’t stopped since!

These old photos show Wellington and Harriet Marsh, the co-founders behind the museum, and Wellington surrounded by some of the fascinating treasures that helped make Marsh’s what it is today.

More than a century later, Marsh’s is still family owned and operated, carrying on the tradition of collecting oddities, antiques, curiosities, and plenty of things you just have to see for yourself.
