Take a 15 second art break today! Enjoy a quiet view of George Baker’s “Tilting Arc.”

A kinetic sculpture, or sculpture designed to move, “Tilting Arc” features stainless steel blades that continually shift and turn in response to the direction and speed of the wind. Visitors often compare its movements to a dancer’s body or the path of a ship or plane. Despite its design, strong winds from Logan Canyon have caused damage to the piece over the years and Ralph Wanlass, one of Baker’s former students, has repaired the piece several times.

One last month of Summer fun at NEHMA! In August we are hosting our final Summer Camp session, getting creative at the Gardener's Market for Community Art Day, and diving into the intersection between art and literature with USU First Lady Camille Mortensen for the kick-off event of Beyond the Book! We can't wait for a great month ahead.

NEHMA IS CLOSED TODAY!

After an eventful night near campus and out of an abundance of caution for the air quality inside the museum, we will not open our doors to the public on Saturday, August 1. We are grateful for hard working first responders who selflessly helped our community throughout the night.

Come see us again next week!
