At our last board meeting, Bruce Allardice (center, surrounded by Society board members) presented donations to our Wide Awakes banner conservation project on behalf of the Civil War Roundtable of Chicago, the Salt Creek Civil War Round Table, and the South Suburban Civil War Round Table. Thank you very much to these groups for their support!

Former Libertyville Historical Society board member Dick Fischer passed away recently. Dick served many years as the Cook Home open house coordinator and as treasurer. Our condolences go out to his family and friends.

Former Libertyville Historical Society board member Audrey Krueger passed away recently. Audrey served many years as the Society's archivist and was named an Honorary Board Member after she stepped down. Our condolences go out to her family and friends.

Yesterday the Libertyville Sunrise Rotary Club presented the Libertyville Historical Society with a grant for our 1860 Wide Awakes banner preservation project.
