Thanks to everyone that stopped by the Society's "Made in Libertyville" pop-up exhibit this past Sunday at the Cook Library. There's another one scheduled for Sunday, July 12, 2-4pm - "Shop Local" featuring memorabilia from shops and businesses.

When you visit the Ansel B. Cook Home tomorrow, make sure to stop by the Cook Library foyer as well. The Society is hosting a pop-up exhibit of Made in Libertyville items from the collection. Objects from The Frank G. Hough Co., Trimm, Libertyville Metal Stamping and more. Both the home and the pop-up are open Sunday, June 14 from 2pm to 4pm.

This year we've added a few "interactive" activities to the Ansel B. Cook Home including asking visitors to "Please sit!" on one of the Victorian chairs. Thanks to these two young men for trying it out at our first 2026 summer open house last Sunday.

The home is open Sundays in June, July, and August from 2pm to 4pm. $5/adult, kids free.

There's a new dog on the Cook Home front porch! Thanks to sponsor GreenTree Animal Hospital and to Society volunteers Chuck and Lynn for coordinating, transporting and painting. Just in time for open house season which starts tomorrow Sunday, June 7. The home is open Sundays in June, July, and August from 2pm to 4pm. $5/adult, kids free.

The 2026 Ansel B. Cook Home summer open house season starts one week from today! The front doors have been refinished and the Town and Country Garden Club of Libertyville have filled the urns with summer flowers. Come see the inside! The home is open Sundays June 7 - August 30 from 2pm to 4pm. $5/adults, kids free.
