USGA Golf Museum and Library Duplicates Sale

If you have ever wanted to own a golf book from the stacks of the golf history experts, now you can. Beginning Saturday, September 6, the USGA Golf Library will begin offering duplicate titles for purchase to the public at the USGA Golf Museum Shop in Liberty Corner. Visitors will find an eclectic assortment of titles covering a wide range of interest in golf topics from biographies of champions to golf instruction, to historic and out of print golf fiction, programs, club histories, contemporary favorites, and more. With items starting at only five dollars, this is a perfect way to build your own library or to find a unique gift for a golf enthusiast. Titles will be updated frequently, so be sure to stop in often to discover new treasures!

This record was distributed by Wilson Sporting Goods Co. ca, 1950. It included instruction on chipping and wedge use as well as putting tips from Wilson advisory staff member Sam Snead. The sleeve, cover and album are included in the USGA's collection.

⭐ Celebrating 1️⃣3️⃣0️⃣ years of serving the game ⭐

On this day in 1894, the USGA was founded by representatives of five clubs inspired by the true spirit of the game. Their aim was to unite American golfers, promote the best interests of the game, and lead golf into the future through Rules, handicapping and conducting national championships.

This program from the inaugural Dapper Dan Open demonstrates the longstanding relationship between golf and philanthropy. First sanctioned as a PGA tournament in 1939, the $10,000 purse attracted some of the game’s brightest stars like Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, Henry Picard, Dick Metz and Ralph Guldahl, while profits from the event were donated to charity.
