The water was a perfect mirror, capturing the sky’s soft transition from deepest blue to blushing pink over the rugged peaks. This single rock at the water’s edge felt like a steadfast companion, grounding the entire scene while the clouds drifted in silent reflection.

High above the noise, where dramatic skies meet timeless peaks. 🏔️ There is something undeniably powerful about converting a landscape to black and white—it strips away the distraction of color and forces you to focus entirely on texture, light, and depth. The way the light breaks through the heavy cloud cover across these distant ridges felt almost otherworldly.

With autumn quickly approaching, I’m brought back to one of my fall favorites…”Autumn Symphony”
This shot was taken in the mountains of NC on a crisp fall morning. It is the reflection of autumn foliage on a small mountain lake. I felt the combination of the golden fall colors reflecting on the peaceful movement of the mountain water creating a wonderful “symphony” to convey the emotion of the scene. Hope you enjoy!
