Metal Clay Open Studio with Mikki Verani
5 Mondays, Oct 19 - Nov 16

In this class, beginners will be shown how to form and finish metal clay. Proper handling techniques and the tools needed to work in metal clay in both its wet and dry stages will be shown and explained. Intermediate and advanced students will work on advancing their skills.  Advanced techniques can include complex hollow forms, stone setting pre-firing, mokume gane in metal clay, and mixed metal techniques.

100% of whatever you donate helps The Association of Haitian Women in Boston empower local communities impacted by the federal termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

⭐️ Opening Reception: Oct 4 from 2pm-4pm

Metal+Art: Contemporary Jewelry and Objects by Metalwerx Studio Artists celebrates the creativity, craftsmanship, and remarkable range of the Metalwerx community. Featuring jewelry, vessels, sculpture, wearable art, and other metalwork created by Metalwerx studiomates, faculty, and staff, the exhibition offers a glimpse into the many ways artists transform metal into art through traditional techniques, contemporary approaches, and their own distinct points of view.
