🎨 A Little Fun with Art & Imagination!

I was playing around with a little technology today, experimenting with what some of my original tree paintings might look like displayed in different settings.

It’s amazing how artwork can transform a space, adding color, warmth, and personality!

These are my original tree paintings, placed into AI-generated room settings to help visualize how they might look outside the art studio.

It’s also been fun exploring ideas for custom artwork and commissioned paintings through Art Studio 760.

Sometimes it’s nice to imagine the possibilities! 🎨🌿

Time Machine Tuesday! 🚀🎨

Today our destination was the Stone Age!

We studied prehistoric animals and cave imagery, practiced drawing from historical references, experimented with charcoal, and even created our own pigments using natural materials. Students crushed and mixed pigments, worked with sticks and natural tools, and began larger cave-inspired drawings that we’ll continue next week.

One of my favorite moments was watching the students stop to explore our Art History Timeline and find where our journey began.

The Art Teacher’s Time Machine combines artmaking, art history, materials exploration and hands-on discovery.

Next month, the Time Machine takes us to Ancient Egypt and Ancient China! 🚀🎨

Look at all these fabulous cats! 🐱🎨

Today’s birthday party artists started with the same basic idea—a Model Magic cat and a wooden picture frame—and look at how completely different every finished piece became! Each artist chose their own colors, patterns, decorations and drawings to make something uniquely their own.

Friday nights are getting creative at Art Studio 760! 🎨
Join us this fall for a relaxed evening of decoupage and create your own beautiful wooden box to take home. Come with a friend, bring your creativity, and enjoy a couple of hours making something completely your own. No experience needed and all materials are included.

Three Friday nights to choose from — October 16, November 13, or December 11, 6:30–8:30 PM. Ages 16+.

I absolutely love this! ❤️ This summer, we’ve been creating lots of our own board games, using imagination, problem-solving, and plenty of inventive thinking—but this student took the challenge to a whole new dimension!

Why make a board game when you can build your own 3-D pinball machine?! 🎯🎨

A big cardboard box, a collection of odds and ends, and a whole lot of creativity turned into this amazing creation. This is exactly the kind of imaginative, “What if I tried this?” thinking we love to see at Art Studio 760.

Hey guys! I finished my Hampton Beach painting! 🎨🌅

There’s something about that late-summer light when the sun is getting lower, the beach is still warm, and everyone seems to be lingering just a little longer before the day — and summer — comes to an end.

For this painting, I imagined the Adult Artists of Art Studio 760 spending a summer day together at the beach. They’re all here — painting, walking along the water, swimming, talking, and enjoying the sunset together.

I think that’s what I like most about this painting. It isn’t only about a beautiful evening at Hampton Beach. It captures some of the friendship and camaraderie that has grown around the studio over the years.

A warm summer evening, a group of artists, and one last chance to soak up that summer glow. ☀️🎨

Music Time with Ms. Turner was so much fun! 🎶🥁

Check out our Bucket Band! The students decorated bucket hats, created their own drums from little mini buckets, and then put their instruments to work making music together.

It was such a great collaboration of art and music—creating a musical instrument, experimenting with sound, learning to use rhythm sticks, and finding the beat together.

A big thank you to Ms. Turner for bringing music, movement, creativity, and lots of fun to Art Studio 760! 🎨🎵

From painting and mixed media to cardboard creations, pipe-cleaner sculptures, rocks, mini canvases, and even inventing our own games, the studio has been full of experimenting, building, problem-solving, and imagination.
Sometimes the best art happens when we put a variety of materials on the table and see where the ideas take us!
