The Lennox Area Museum will be open for guests to tour on Saturday, May 9, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

The Museum is open for the public to see displays of local history on the Second Saturday of each month during the warm months of the year. The Lennox Area Historical Society members invite you to come to the museum at 305 S. Main St., Lennox, to see new and changed displays as well as view the ones you have enjoyed that tell part of your community and sometimes family story over the years. The museum is open 11:00 am to 2:00 pm for those events.

It is almost the weekend and time to plan weekend activities! One idea is to avoid Saturday chores for a few hours and visit the Lennox Area Museum between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 11.
Check out the tools that were used in the Lennox area years ago to do routine chores both in the home and outside. The laundry tools from the past might even make doing laundry today seem almost enjoyable.

It's Friday! Do you have plans for this weekend? A great idea would be to include a visit to the Lennox Area Museum tomorrow Saturday, September 13, between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm. We would love to see you, and we are sure you would enjoy seeing the many artifacts from Lennox's history.

August 7 is known as Purple Heart Day, which is a day to remember and honor men and women who have been wounded or killed in action while serving in the United States military. The Purple Heart is the oldest military award/medal still in use. George Washington established the Badge of Military Merit honor on August 7, 1782. In 1932, the medal was renamed Purple Heart.

For more information about Lennox men and women who have served in the United States military, visit the Lennox Area Museum's Open House on Saturday, August 9, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
