You can learn a lot about a company by seeing what happens when nobody is watching.👀
Today, the team at Sherwin-Williams invited us to tour their distribution facility in Statesville, NC, and we walked away with a lot more than we expected.
We use their products every single day. But we'd never seen what it takes to get a gallon of paint from the line to our truck. 🚛
The organization, the systems, the technology, the attention to detail. It was all impressive. Nothing felt rushed or thrown together. Everything had a purpose and a place.
💪What stuck with us most, though, was the people. You could tell they take pride in their work, and that the company takes care of the folks doing it. The same care goes into how they treat their customers. That kind of consistency doesn't happen by accident. It comes from a culture where people are valued and doing things the right way is the standard.
A huge thank you to everyone at Sherwin-Williams who took the time to host us, answer our questions, and show us around. We're grateful for the invitation and for the reminder of what it looks like when a team really cares.
At JBG Painting, we're always looking to learn from great organizations and bring those lessons back to our own crew. This visit gave us plenty to think about.
‼️Great companies aren't built on products alone. They're built on the people, the systems, and the culture behind them.
Thank you, Sherwin-Williams - Tommy Gartz and Andrew Wehry. 🎨
