What a great time we had last Monday evening at our annual June picnic! Great food and great fellowship made for a wonderful time. Our next potluck and speakers meeting will be held at the Historic Largo Feed Store on Monday, September 14th, 2026.

The Largo Theatre, located at 420 W. Bay Drive in downtown Largo, opened in 1948 in a surplus military Quonset hut with seating for about 400 patrons.

Its first film screening was Abbott and Costello’s “Buck Privates Come Home”, marking the beginning of its role as a local entertainment hub.

The Largo Theatre closed in 1980 after serving the community for over 30 years. It was dismantled and moved by helicopter to a new location where it was repurposed as a maintenance building for the city's public works department.
