Bob Doster's Backstreet Studio was established in Lancaster, SC in the 1970's, with a second location in Spruce Pine, NC in 2023. Bob Doster is an award-winning, nationally acclaimed artist who has been creating and teaching for more than fifty years and he welcomes visitors to tour the studio, galleries, and outdoor sculpture in both locations. ghest recognition in the arts, the Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Award. Doster has been named Keeper of the Culture by York County Heritage & Cultural Commission, Hero of the Child, by SC First Steps, Small Business of the Year by Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce, CN2 Hometown Hero, and City of Lancaster Mayoral Proclamation.
