What a Beautiful Opening Reception!

Last night was truly a special evening at the Black Heritage Gallery as we celebrated the opening of Jeanette Floyd’s incredible exhibition. ❤️

A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out, showed love, and supported the Black Heritage Gallery and this amazing artist. Your presence, encouragement, and continued support mean more than you know.

A very special thank you to Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. for hosting the reception and helping make the evening so memorable. 💙🤍

We also appreciate Brendan Brown with KPLC News for taking the time to interview and spotlight Jeanette Floyd and the Black Heritage Gallery. Thank you for helping us share these stories with our community.

And to our Black Heritage Gallery Ambassadors—thank you for always showing up, serving, supporting, and helping us continue the work we do.

Most importantly, THANK YOU to our sponsors! Your generosity and investment in the arts make exhibitions, programs, and community experiences like this possible. We truly could not do this work without you.

And above all, we give ALL GLORY TO GOD. 🙏🏾 Without Him, none of this would be possible. He continues to open doors, provide resources, connect us with amazing people, and give us the strength and vision to keep moving forward.

The Black Heritage Gallery belongs to the community, and last night was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to support, celebrate, and uplift Black art and culture.

Thank you, Lake Charles and Southwest Louisiana, for continuing to show up for the Black Heritage Gallery. We appreciate you more than words can express! ❤️🖤
