Mardi Gras Museum of Imperial Calcasieu Our brand new location has opened at 701 Enterprise Blvd. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm. We hope to see you soon!

We are temporarily closed while our new location is being built. Please monitor our website and page for opening date and details. We will be back in early to mid 2024. See ya'll then!

Dolly has had an influence on everyone including Mardi Gras in Southwest Louisiana. Ms. Amy Grimes recieved Dolly’s permission to have the replica of her costume to be worn at a local Mardi Gras Ball in 2014.

We've come such a long way since January 1! In just four short months, the entire collection of Mardi Gras costumes, mannequins, exhibits, talking animatronics, and so much more was installed, and the museum officially opened its doors on April 17!

Costumes like this one, standing more than 10 feet tall, can take months to assemble, and they’re a big part of what makes Mardi Gras season in Southwest Louisiana so much fun!

Captain David O’Quinn of the Krewe of Illusions wore this incredible costume in 1995 when he stepped onto the stage in front of thousands of screaming guests.
