Today we harvested some prairie seeds. Many thanks to the scouts who came out from Troop 80 to help harvest Blazing Star, Rattlesnake Master, and Joe Pye W**d seeds. We will be using these seeds to plant in our other natural areas.

Spent the day with crew shooting some footage of our country road for a future documentary airing later in year on another topic but promised them I would mention Tonight at 8 pm Stories
on WTTW Channel 11 has a story on the Columbian Exposition of 1893 debuting. Amazing what can be done with drones and small cameras these days.

This Sunday September 27th from 1-4pm is our last tour open hours for the season! After this month, tours will be by appointment only until next June.

Our flowers are still blooming in our heirloom flower garden! The gardens may be a bit damp, but you can still visit during our tour hours today from 1-4pm.
