The South Shore Children's Museum is where play and learning come together! The museum provides an opportunity for children to discover our nation’s rich past through hands-on experiences -- without ever having to leave the South Shore! Each exhibit teaches them about a different aspect of American history through exciting interactive play. From creating crafts to sharing stories, children will learn about America and have fun doing it!

Join us in our new and bigger space in the Walmart Wing at the Hanover Mall.
Mission: We will strive to achieve the goal of connecting Americans to their history in an interesting and pertinent way by using play and family involvement as means to instill the love of history. The case for play as a means for learning is documented in major educational research done all over the world. Not only is it therapeutic, it is also an avenue for children and their families to communicate effectively.

Unfortunately we are not opening today as we’d hoped. After the shooting in Plymouth on Wednesday which put the Kingston mall on lockdown, and then yesterday’s wind storm, we haven’t been able to get our inspections and final approval. We are VERY hopeful we will open tomorrow. Please keep an eye on our page for announcements. Thank you all so much for your patience!
