When it comes to iconic portrayals of Batman, Michael Keaton earned the No. 1 spot—and Michelle Pfeiffer equally earned the No. 1 spot as Catwoman. Add Danny DeVito’s unforgettable Penguin, and Batman Returns delivered three performances that remain definitive to this day.

Once again, I’m doing my own interpretive dance on canvas, working from a simple premise: What if I had been hired by the studio to create the original promotional artwork for this phenomenal film?

Rather than recreate a movie poster, I’m reimagining Batman Returns through my own lens—capturing its darkness, seduction, theatricality, and wonderfully twisted characters while paying tribute to the great era of hand-painted movie illustration.
