This was a fun picture to catch in the gallery this morning. Legacy KWAC Member, Helen Kordon, dropped off some new originals and met Tonya Browning, one of our newest Exhibiting Members who also happens to be our new Gallery Assistant as well.  💜🎨💜

Our Keys Season window features a summer special on 10"x10" original local artwork for $175.

One of our Exhibiting Artist members in the window is Nancy Henning. A Cudjoe Key resident for over 20 years, Nancy finds much of her inspiration in the tropical colors and beauty of the Florida Keys.

One of our last year’s ArtSpark students from Somerset, Carol, got to travel to Japan, the land of manga and anime, this summer with an education and culture program with Take Stock in Children. So proud of and happy for her!

Our ArtSpark students from Somerset Island Prep high school started up classes this week doing a watercolor class with conch artist, Andy Thurber. 🎨💜

Finally, kicking off a project nine months in the making… local professional mural artist, Brandon Vessels works with ArtSpark students from CFK Academy to create a mural on campus. Learning how to use the doodle grid to transfer an image to a larger scale and familiarizing themselves working with spray paint.
ArtSpark is a youth visual arts program of the Key West Art Center. This mural collaboration was made possible by a Special Projects Grant from The Florida Keys Council for the Arts. Excited to see how it evolves. 💜🎨
