Won’t be long and will be going outside to see these flowers. In meantime the last breakfast was low in attendance due to weather but people were very generous. Going to start our handicap stool in toilet with bars to help us older folks (I guess that means me also). Thanks for your support and helping us make changes. Have a great day.

Yes we are excited about 2025, no real major project on agenda for this year having a biscuit and gravy breakfast on the 18th and just finished our first bingo for the year. Plan on having a car show in May and working on new fundraisers this year. We have hooked up with Iowa tour and travel hoping to get a few more bus tours through our doors. Hope all is well with everyone out there and thank you for all your support. Have a great day.

Ending the year with our annual Christmas and bake sale. Many things accomplished this past year including out two chair lifts. If your a member your dues are due January 1st to continue to receive news letter. Hope you have a great Christmas and a very good new year, we appreciate all your support during past year.

Yes we are open this year to end of September so you can come and visit us yet or always by appointment. Picture of some wedding and old dresses from past residents, it’s been a fun year again this year and looking forward to bingo and Christmas sale later this year. New inside front door, been doing things to change the look. The gals have been busy with lots of little projects. Love seat and chair are recent donations from our followers. We have a table coming from California belonging to a famous resident. More on that later have a good day and come visit. Now open through September. Thanks for your support.

New look going into entrance of main museum, some notable changes have been made. Looking through recipe books I came across this recipe and we tried it, was very delicious.
This is Mrs Weaver’s End of the garden relish.
4 cups ground onions
4 cups ground cabbage
4 cups ground green tomatoes
12 ground green peppers
6 ground red peppers
1/2 cup salt
~Set over night and drain- then add
1 t celery seed
2 t mustard seed
1 1/2 t Turmeric
6 cups sugar
4 cups vinegar (white)
2 cups water
Bring to boil and boil 3 minutes
Ladle into jars hot and seal.
No hot bath no canning required.

May add a few more recipes in future there are some old good ones out there. Thanks for your support and have a great day.

We lost one of our long supporting member and board member this past week. Mary parsons at 101 years old loved working at the museum and giving tours. We will miss her immensely and her warm and gentle smile. Just been last couple years she had to step back some. Memorials for Mary May be sent to 218 High street Kellogg Iowa 50135. Yes halfway through our season at museum, you have now through end of September to visit. We extended our days by a month. Picture is our John Deere tractor and our entrance to main building. Visitors from Cedar Rapids was amazed at our collection of relics from past. Have a great day and please share.

Ragbrai just a year ago where did time go, so much fun for us at the museum. Was working to finish up door at museum but fell on tractor mower and bruised my behind bad, could hardly walk for couple days. Now grandson here for ten days and plan on getting back on track and getting project finished. Have a great day and thanks for your support.

With new door in and my youngest granddaughter stealing green strawberries, we now have a light above door inside and out, insulated and waiting on second stair lift. Have a great day and come visit. M-F 10-3 and Sunday 1:30-5. Or by appointment. Closed holidays, Please share thank you.
