This morning we were happy to greet someone who only learned of her connection to this area during a random visit to Perry Farm. After digging into her ancestry, she learned her family name, Lagesse, has a pretty profound link to our community so she returned to visit our museum.

We love when visitors leave with a little more knowledge of their family lineage! History is so cool 😎

We're preparing for the Judy Anna Tea Room while enjoying some hot tea from the past!

This cacao shell flavor comes highly recommended by the first, first lady, Martha Washington. It is said that she enjoyed sipping the tea made from roasted "shells of cocoa nuts" each morning ☕ Sounds like a delicious pairing with Sweeney Girl Sweets' chocolate croissants 🥐
