The Gretchen Charlton Art Gallery, located on the campus of Provena Heritage Village, is committed to developing and promoting the awareness of the arts in the Kankakee (IL) River Valley for people of all ages and was named an "essential" tourism destination by the Kankakee County Convention and Visitors Bureau in 2009. The gallery features the work of local and regional artists and acts as an adv

ocate for local and visiting artists from a variety of genres. Additionally, the Gretchen Charlton Art Gallery features a wide variety of exhibits, community classes and classes for residents of Provena Heritage Village.
