The Museum
The idea to create a school district museum existed for years and is n

ow a reality. The official opening of the Greater Johnstown School District Museum was held Saturday, May 3, 2003. Established as an effort to preserve the history and the rich tradition of education in Johnstown, the museum is intended to benefit everyone in the community. The collection of school memorabilia dates from present day all the way back to the late 1700s. Some early pieces are on loan from the Johnstown Historical Society, while other items have come through personal donations and the school district archives. An ongoing effort to acquire additional collectibles exists and memorabilia donations for the museum are always accepted. Please send memorabilia to:
2 Prindle Avenue
Johnstown, NY 12095.

If you are thinking of a class reunion for 2026, please be sure to schedule a visit to the GJSD Museum!! Loads to see and lots of laughs and hugs for "old" classmates!!! Classes like to meet on Saturday mornings.
Some organizers bring coffee and donuts and a whiskey cake has been known to magically appear! We have been able to round up elementary school class pictures so you can see how you looked when you were in Kindergarten through 6th grades and sometimes Knox Junior High School. Scary, right??

Call or text me at 518 774 6671 and we can set it up! The sooner the better!! classes of '65, '75, '85, 94, and 95 and 2000 met this summer and fall. Try combining classes if that sounds possible.

Having a family reunion at 4th of July or anytime? We can be open !!!

Jane
