This is where I'll be tomorrow night!

Tomorrow night, we’re opening a new exhibition at Pearl City Clay House!

Join us Friday, September 4 from 6:00–8:00 PM for the opening reception of A Personal Mythos, a solo exhibition featuring the work of Kenneth Labuskes.

The exhibition features Ken’s Elemental Goddess series, inviting visitors into a world shaped by mythology, symbolism, nature, and imagination.

The opening reception is free and open to the public. Stop in, meet the artist, explore the exhibition, and spend your Friday evening surrounded by art at Pearl City Clay House.

This month we're highlighting a very old, and large, painting on silk.

Our client wanted this piece stretched onto stretcher bars, but due to its age, fragility, and some tears, we quickly realized that extra steps would be needed to realize this vision.

We basted the silk painting onto black cotton to increase its strength. After the silk painting was secure, we built 2" deep stretcher bars and carefully secured the cotton onto the stretcher.

Drawing group was just what I needed tonight! Sitting in the gallery, surrounded by art, listening to music, with other people quietly drawing along with me gives me new energy to keep creating.
