Mark Twain Motor Court, located where The Hope Chest - Jamestown, TN stands today. First picture some time during the early 20th century when people began to travel the country in their newly affordable cars.

When I heard that one of the original cabins had been relocated and was still standing I had to go see for myself because, you know, history…

Not only is it still standing, it’s surprisingly sturdy for its age nearing 100 years.

Very saddened to hear of Wanda Hatfield’s passing. She was the embodiment of what a local historian should be. Dedicated isn’t even an apt description. She will be missed.

Our County Historian Wanda Hatfield went to be with Jesus at 1:30 this morning. Viewing and Funeral at Jennings Funeral Home in Jamestown, Sunday 23rd noon to 2pm funeral at 2.
