Fellow artists, dear friends of the Guild and patrons of the arts, we need your help now more than ever.
The Ocean County Artist Guild has had quite the journey since it was formed in 1957 and acquired our Victorian house in 1974. We strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for artists and musicians of all skill levels from all over the state and beyond.
We are consistently looking for new types of classes and workshops to offer at low cost to our members.
However, as a non-profit, we are struggling. As much as we all love our home- the Victorian Lady born in 1880 on the corner of Chestnut and Ocean in Island Heights NJ, it’s expensive to maintain and keep running. Not only does the house need repairs it’s challenging to cover our general operating expenses.
Through our various art and music events, and simply being engaged in the local creative community, we created partnerships that will lead to fundraising opportunities.
Our board members are actively applying for new grant opportunities but if approved, we won’t receive the funding until 2027. To be able to continue to stay afloat and keep membership and gallery rates affordable, we need your help.
