July Program: World War I & Tuckerton Wireless

Many people have heard about the Tuckerton Wireless, but not all have heard of accused German Spy, Emil Mayer. This presentation will delve into new evidence surrounding the case gleaned from the National Archives that sheds light on the activities of the secretive Station Chief before and during World War I. Additional information will be provided on the nature of the wireless station and its role as a strategic communications hub during the Great War. Presented by Nicholas Wood, the Museum Curator for the Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission.
