purdy artifacts return to Independence. Eliphalet & Catherine Purdy were residents in Independence and owners of the Montour Hotel (now where Northeast Security bank is located) They had 2 children: Catherine Purdy and Arda (Purdy) Davis. Their elegant home is still standing in SW Independence. We have received several items earlier, but these were the latest. Eliphalet's grandfather was in Revolutionary War. It's nice to see families think enough of earlier ancestors to return items for display. We would not survive without people's donations. thank you! these will be displayed in the Lee Mansion Independence, Iowa

Today, I am SO incredibly proud to share that our General Manager, Dominique Miller, and her soon-to-be husband just bought a HOME together, right here close to the store! 🏡🔑

And they aren’t the only ones.

One of our employees, at just 19 years old, recently bought herself a car. 🚗💗

THAT is what I think about when you buy a wrap, salad, coffee, cupcake, hat, or anything else from us.

Of course, some of it goes to ingredients, bills, and Uncle Sam 😂 but the part I’m most proud of is being able to create jobs that help real people build lives they’re proud of.

Watching my employees accomplish things like THIS will forever be one of my favorite parts of owning Indeelicious. 💕

FRIDAY - "Artifact Spotlight" - Medical Associates some years ago. Lots of their 'memories' in the Doctor Office display at the Lee Mansion. The Lee Mansion (former People's Hospital) aka Capt. Lee mansion built 1867. located next to the Independence Public Library and open weekends all year long 1-3pm.
