The Huntington Militia - 18th Century Living History Men, Women, and Families with Children reenact 18th Century civilian and military life at local, regional, and national events.

The Order of the Ancient & Honorable Huntington Militia is an 18th century living history organization, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and NYS educational corporation based on Long Island, NY aimed to preserve local Revolutionary War history. The Order of the Ancient and Honorable Huntington Militia is a a New York State Education Corporation, 501C3 non-profit organization, and the official honor guard of the Town of Huntington.

SAVE THE DATE!! Come experience Long Island’s most unique America250 event! Step back in time to July 22, 1776 and relive the moment the Declaration of Independence arrived in Huntington!

Save the date! On Saturday, July 18, the Huntington Militia presents the 250th Anniversary Reenactment of Huntington Independence Day. On July 22, 1776, the Declaration of Independence arrived in Huntington. Come to the Arsenal and Huntington Green for a reenactment of events, musket and cannon firing demonstrations, and 18th century crafts, trades, cooking, toys, and music.
