Bunnell Street Arts Center is a not-for-profit organization that serves artists and audiences of all ages with opportunities to explore, present and create new work. Bunnell presents monthly visual art exhibitions, contemporary Alaskan artwork for sale, lectures and readings, dance, music, theater and performance art, film screenings and dialogues with artists. Also offering over fifty educational activities per year, Bunnell's outreach programs include artist's talks, workshops for youth and adults, and Artists in Schools programs for over Kenai Peninsula K-12 youth.

We are honored and overjoyed to announce that Bunnell Street Arts Center has been awarded a $9,000 National Theater Project (NTP) award from the New England Foundation for the Arts ()! 🎭✨⁠

To celebrate 15 years of NTP grantmaking, a coalition of artists and advisors nominated peers across the country for unsolicited, unrestricted grants. Bunnell was nominated and selected as a Track 3 Presenter Partner—a category recognizing organizations that exemplify the spirit of NTP through deep community collaboration, bridging performance with community, and supporting artists' core needs.⁠

Being nominated by our peers in the field makes this recognition exceptionally meaningful. Thank you to the National Theater Project, NEFA, and the incredible artists who continue to build creative community with us—like , whose performance of Feral at Bunnell beautifully embodies this collaborative spirit! 🌿🎭⁠

Our Alaska AIR program seeks international, US, and Alaska artists looking to create new work and strengthen the social, physical, and economic fabric of Homer through the arts. Residencies are generally one month and will be scheduled for fall, winter, and spring of 2027 and 2028.⁠

We welcome proposals across all disciplines—visual, literary, performing arts, social & civic practice, movement, music composition, moving image, and more! 🎨🎭📝🎶⁠

Administered by Bunnell Street Arts Center with support from The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, the fund fosters risk-taking, public-facing visual arts projects across Alaska’s cultural ecosystem—from exhibitions and performances to publications, pop-up spaces, and community gatherings.⁠
