Tiki-Toki allows you to explore the broader story around an artifact through documents, photographs, videos, and first-hand accounts. Come on in and check out this new experience!

We were delighted to welcome the Friends of the Layland Museum of History to the Texas Heritage Museum!

Pictured here, the group is gathered with a remarkable ox-cart, or caretta, currently on loan to the THM. This historic cart is featured in one of our exhibits, helping tell the story of how cotton was transported and sold from Texas during the Civil War.

We are grateful for this partnership and the opportunity to share such an important piece of history with our visitors. Stop by the museum and see this fascinating artifact for yourself!
