✨We are still overwhelmed with gratitude as we reflect on such an unforgettable evening. Thank you to every guest, sponsor, donor, and supporter who made our Casino Royale Gala so incredibly meaningful.
In case you missed the most touching moment of the night, Texas Through Time’s Director, Andre LuJan, posthumously awarded Brian Kevin Anderson the “Friend of the Museum” Award (2018–2025) in recognition of his unwavering love and support. Kevin had a deep passion for microfossils and field work, and he dedicated countless hours assisting our team both in the lab and out in the field. His impact on our organization is immeasurable.
As Kevin sadly passed away last year, the award was accepted on his behalf by his sister, Melissa Stewart. She shared a few heartfelt words about her brother, and then created a moment none of us will ever forget—presenting Texas Through Time with an extraordinarily generous $100,000 donation in his honor.
This gift is so much more than monetary—it is deeply personal and profoundly meaningful. It represents a legacy of passion, curiosity, and love for science that will live on far beyond this moment. Because of Melissa & Dean Stewart’s incredible generosity, Kevin’s spirit will forever be a part of Texas Through Time—living on in the halls of our future museum and inspiring generations to come.
Because of you, we are able to continue preserving and sharing the story of our natural history for generations to come. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Melissa & Dean Stewart and the late Kevin Anderson for being part of our own history. đź’›
