We are just days away from Live Sky Tonight! 💫 This is a FREE event for all ages.

Our Planetarium Coordinator, Kirk Rosberg, will be in Brickyard Park for an evening of discovery and knowledge as long as the weather cooperates! Come alone, experience this with your family, or bring a friend.

This special evening of stargazing begins at 8:30 pm. As the sky darkens, we’ll explore the constellations, planets, and bright stars under the actual night sky.

ASTRONOMY SPOTLIGHT 🌌🌟

October’s skies have plenty to explore! This month, we’re looking at a planetary alignment featuring Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, and the Moon in the predawn sky. Keep an eye out for a colorful display, too, with star-like objects shining in shades of yellow, red, blue-white, and, of course, white.

We’ll also explore Saturn at opposition in early October, when the planet shines at its brightest in the evening sky. There’s so much to discover this month, so don’t miss this month’s Astronomy Spotlight!

Happy World Teachers’ Day! 🍎📚

We’re incredibly fortunate to have an amazing Education Department here at the Hastings Museum. Our team’s knowledge, creativity, and passion for learning shine through in every school program and event.

Today, we’re also celebrating the teachers who make these experiences possible. We’re so appreciative of the educators who bring their students to the Museum for programs, book a virtual experience, or invite us into their classrooms. We’re lucky to be part of your learning and exploration, wherever it may be!

Thank you to all the teachers who spark curiosity and make learning meaningful every day!
