Happy national pug day!

Oh to be a pug dog
Soft fur maybe black or tan
Oh to be a pug dog lying in front of a fan
This human life I lament
I wake up and my joints are filled cement
But to be a pug dog seems so grand
Instead of waking each day worried things won’t go as planned
Each morning would welcome me with flourish and a kiss
Oh to be a pug dog what bliss
Mushy, sweet and a little smelly
Where my biggest worry is who is gonna rub my belly

Oh to be a pug dog lying in the sun
It looks like such carefree fun
Hair gently ruffled by the breeze
No thoughts of money or worry about their knees
Oh to be a pug dog baking in the heat
Content in the knowledge they will never be on the street
No worries about their next meal
No strong emotions or pain they have to feel
Oh to be a pug dog it looks like so much fun
Spending each day dreaming away in the sun 🐾

Happy 23 year wedding anniversary to Dr. fishey ! This year has tested in sickness and in health, but through it all we still find joy and fun. There’s no one else I would want beside me and I know no matter what life throws at us you will be there. ❤️♾️🐦‍⬛ 🐻

Pretty dang proud I got this orchid to bloom again. I could talk about how figuring out the right light and watering schedule a plant needs to not just live but to bloom is a metaphor for life and healing or something like that. But mostly I’ll just look at how pretty she is 🤩
