Our exhibition this month welcomes another new artist, Neelam Padte. These are just a few of her works. Please stop into the gallery to see these, as well as the rest of her works in person.
“I express my emotions, illusions, and thoughts through painting. My landscapes reflect the essence of nature as I see or imagine it. Using a limited palette, I keep the composition simple, focusing on the balance of color, value, and texture.
Born in Mumbai, India, and raised in an environment surrounded by artists and musicians, Neelam Padte discovered her creative spirit at an early age. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of Mumbai before emigrating to the United States in 1984.
Her paintings invite viewers into spaces of calm, reflection, and contemplation. Through luminous color, subtle textures, and expressive movement, Neelam creates tranquil environments that encourage a pause from the pace of everyday life. Collectors often describe her work as peaceful, meditative, and emotionally uplifting—paintings that offer not only beauty, but also a sense of stillness and renewal.”
