GreenHill, located in Downtown Greensboro, is a nonprofit visual art center with the vital mission to support and advocate for the art and artists of our home state, North Carolina. At GreenHill professional artists have meaningful opportunities throughout their careers to participate in a wide range of exhibitions. We provide economic support to artists through the sale of their art in our world-

Save The Date: Join GreenHill for the opening reception and live printmaking demonstration in The Betty and Benjamin Cone Jr. Alcove Gallery with artist Paige Welch on Saturday, June 27, from 3:00–5:00 PM, followed by an artist talk on Wednesday, August 5, from 5:30–6:30 PM.⁠
⁠
This solo exhibition features screen printed works on paper alongside immersive wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling installations of repeated figures, decorative patterns, and declarative text. ⁠
⁠
During the opening, Welch will transform an existing installation in real time by layering newly screen printed text before reinstalling the work, inviting visitors to witness the piece evolve through process and repetition.

Join GreenHill today in the gallery from 2:00 – 3:00 PM for a discussion with retrospective artist Chieko Murasugi in conjunction with Shaping Chance exhibition, on view through June 27. ⁠

This will be the first opportunity to purchase the limited edition catalog created to accompany the show, featuring detail images of works from Murasugi’s recent Kimono series, a curator’s introduction, and writings by the artist.⁠

Join GreenHill for an artist talk in the gallery this Saturday, May 30, from 2:00 - 3:00 PM, with retrospective artist Chieko Murasugi. ⁠
⁠
Murasugi will discuss her solo exhibition and reflect on the evolution of her practice, including the experimentation and ideas that shape her work. The artist will also touch on the use of chance within her art making process and the creation of her kimono series. Free and open to the public. ⁠
