Join Greensboro-based artist Jonah Carrel and dancers for a work-in-progress sharing of Chase That Rabbit a week from today on September 4 from 6–6:30 PM at GreenHill.⁠
⁠
This new quartet explores Appalachian folk dance through contemporary choreography, reimagining traditional movement patterns as spaces for experimentation and conversation. Carrel, Angelina Brucculeri, Elena Redman, and Joe Teachey will share excerpts from the work, discuss the creative process, and invite audience questions.⁠

Free and open to the public.

Join GreenHill for the opening reception of PLAY on Friday, August 28, from 6:00–7:00 PM in the Betty and Benjamin Cone Jr. Alcove Gallery. This solo exhibition of fiber works by Marguerite Jay Gignoux features new stitched canvases inspired by her experience as a teaching artist working with youth across North Carolina. Celebrating the spontaneity and inventive spirit of childhood creativity, these works reflect decades of observing young people create with curiosity and imagination.⁠

Join Greensboro landscape painter and Terra artist Katie Podracky on Wednesday, August 26, from 5:30–7:00 PM for a behind-the-scenes look at the process of creating handmade earth pigments.⁠
⁠
In this 21+ ArtBar class, participants will explore natural pigments created from North Carolina clay, learn how Podracky processed pigments for Stratum and Stone, and see the pigment-making process up close.⁠
⁠
You’ll also create your own landscape painting using natural and traditional pigments. All levels of experience are welcome.⁠
