Join artist Marguerite Jay Gignoux for a conversation about PLAY, her solo exhibition on view in the Betty and Benjamin Cone Jr. ALCOVE Gallery through November 7.

Inspired by decades of working with young artists across North Carolina, PLAY draws from moments of creativity, curiosity, and invention witnessed in classrooms, libraries, museums, and community spaces.

Hear directly from Gignoux about her artistic practice, the inspiration behind PLAY, and the experiences that shaped this body of work.

Save The Date! The GreenHill Shop invites you to join curators and friends for the opening reception of Conversations in Clay on Wednesday September 30 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, featuring four North Carolina ceramic artists: Lauren Breitling (Asheville), Laura Hendrix (Greensboro), Fiva McCanless (Seagrove), and Debb McDaniel (Greensboro).⁠ The exhibition will remain on view through January 2026.⁠

Each artist transforms clay into distinct and imaginative ceramic statements, ranging from the sublime to the playful. The exhibition brings together one-of-a-kind works and multiples, both functional and decorative, spanning traditional, contemporary, and folk art styles.⁠

Join Greensboro-based artist Jonah Carrel and dancers for a work-in-progress sharing of Chase That Rabbit a week from today on September 4 from 6–6:30 PM at GreenHill.⁠

This new quartet explores Appalachian folk dance through contemporary choreography, reimagining traditional movement patterns as spaces for experimentation and conversation. Carrel, Angelina Brucculeri, Elena Redman, and Joe Teachey will share excerpts from the work, discuss the creative process, and invite audience questions.⁠
