New work alert! Julie spent Sunday morning at the raku kiln- beautiful day of firing and check out these new planters! They will be available starting Tuesday. She also fired more ghosts but they won’t be ready til a little later this week.
Fun fact: Julie became a bit obsessed with being a plant mama during Covid and has more than 60 plants in her studio- many she nurtures until they are ready to be planted and sold in her planters!

Before we start to focus on the Hocus Pocus, we wanted to thank everyone who:
Made Applebutter amazing- another wonderful year in the books- despite the misty day, it was a fun filled Sunday.
Thank you to the committee from the Historical Society for the months and months it takes to transform our village into this incredible day for all. Their dedication is unrivaled. And their crew of volunteers, village residents and friends!
To the village council and staff, vendors, musicians, reenactment friends and of course, my fellow merchants- it was awesome.
And thank YOU, our local supporters of all things Grand Rapids- this day, even when a little gray, is the sunshine of the year every year! Thanks for another excellent day!

Today’s new work is by Jeanne! She has been with us for over 10 years and her drawings and watercolors are so beautiful and so easily fit into both home or office decor! Here are a few of her newest :)
Open Tuesday-Thursdays 11-4, Friday-Saturdays 11-5 and Sundays 12-5.

Mmmmm…something smells DELICIOUS at the gallery!

Julie has just restocked all your favorite 100% soy, hand-poured candles—and there are even a few new scents for the season!

Did you know Julie’s candle line started as a creative way to use some of her pottery seconds? The candles were so well received that she began making specific pottery vessels just for them. Today, the collection includes Raku-fired, wood-fired, and a few electric-kiln pots, along with glass vessels made mostly from upcycled glass she collects throughout the year. ♻️✨

And yes—the wicks are lead-free!

Each candle is a little different, making them as much a piece of handmade pottery as they are a delicious-smelling candle. ❤️

Stop in soon for the best selection of scents and vessels—they never seem to stay around for long!

Prepping for Applebutter is just the best of times as our artists bring in new work! I will be posting everyday this week to share the new pieces!

🍂 WHOA! You’ve been keeping us busy! 🍂

Thanks to all of you, September was a whirlwind! Some of our favorites completely sold out, others came close, and our artists have been busy making MORE! 🙌
✨ Back by popular demand- and thanks to all of our local artists for helping keep up with the demand!
💀 Christy’s little skull jars are back (and a few have already sold!), along with her ever-popular bats!
🎃 Abigail has new pumpkins, including gorgeous gold stems, and Lars brought in a great selection of glow-in-the-dark pumpkins and more!
👻 Julie has restocked her fun little mummies, and a few new ghosts have already arrived, with LOTS more coming this week!
And that’s just the beginning! We’ll be sharing more new work from our artists as we gear up for Applebutter Festival next Sunday, October 11! 🍎🥧 The festival runs 10–5, but you know we’ll have our doors open bright and early at 6:30 AM-perfect for other vendors, locals, those staying near town!
It’s a crisp, beautiful fall day in downtown Grand Rapids, Ohio — perfect for a little stroll, some local shopping, and discovering something handmade and wonderful. ❤️

Dragons at our place (please do not eat, lol) and a wing deal (we ♥️ the sweet chili on our wings) at our neighbors Wild Side Brewing Company across the street from our front door to theirs!
Christy just brought us two more of her dragons- Game of Thrones fans will find the latest editions of her dragons extra fun! Whether playful or a bit slithery- we love to see what dragon comes from the artwork of Christy! So get out of the house on this Sunday Funday and head to Downtown Grand Rapids Ohio! Check out the other fun shops and restaurants - come enjoy a day along the river!
