The University of Mary Washington Galleries, comprised of Ridderhof Martin Gallery and duPont Galler This gallery is located at 1301 College Avenue.

The Ridderhof Martin Gallery hosts exhibitions brought in from museums around the country, or drawn from the permanent collection of over 5,000 works. The permanent collection is strongest in mid twentieth-century art and Asian art. The duPont Gallery features painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and textiles by art faculty, students, and other contemporary artists. This gallery is located inside duPont Hall at 1913 College Avenue.

Starting the new school year off right with our longest standing tradition, the Mid-Atlantic New Painting Biennial!

Starting September 10th through October 18th, this show is looking to be incredible with all the immense talent from the artists chosen by our juror Alexis Assam from the VMFA. This exhibition is a true snapshot of contemporary practice in painting.

Not that the 6 days of rain wasn’t much needed and beautiful, but we are just thankful that it’s clear and sunny for alumni weekend 😅♥️

We have our final chance to see “Mark and Method” ready for you in Ridderhof Martin Gallery and we hope you come by and check it out!

If you are a painter in the Mid-Atlantic region (Delaware, D.C., Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia) we want you to submit your paintings!

This Friday, April 24 from 2-4pm in duPont Gallery, the seniors will be having their artist talk! Come celebrate them all and hear them talk about their work⭐️

Our regular hours are Wednesday-Sunday 10am-4pm.
We are always free and open to the public!
